YouTube's April Fools Day

This morning I bumped into YouTube's new layout. I saw a little blue box telling me that this was YouTube's new video page, with the option to go back to the old style we're all used to. I wanted to watch a video quickly and didn't care much, so when I started playing it I noticed how there was a new resolution type available. I often watch the videos on the highest resolution, so clicked on the mysterious "TEXTp".

It's almost like watching YouTube through the Matrix, pretty cool. The explanation comes with the charitable cause of saving $1 a second... Crazy stuff!!

By using text-only mode, you are saving YouTube $1 a second in bandwidth costs. Click here to go back to regular YouTube and happy April Fools Day!
